Clifton Springs (N.Y.) Hospital and Clinic, part of Rochester Regional Health, completed its first Persona IQ Smart Knee device implant.

The implant, created by Zimmer Biomet, is used for total knee arthroplasty procedures and collects objective biomechanics data, according to a Sept. 28 news release from RRH.

Data collected by the implant includes gait metrics, range of motion, cadence, stride length, walking speed and step count.

Rochester Regional Health is the first system in the Finger Lakes region to offer the Persona IQ implant, the release said.
