New York hospital names new orthopedic director

Yevgeniy Korshunov, MD, was named director of the total joint program at Staten Island (N.Y.) University Hospital.

Dr. Korshunov is a hip and knee reconstruction surgeon, according to an Oct. 16 news release. In his new role, he will oversee the hospital’s orthopedic service line, total joint reconstruction program and ASC.

Before joining SIUH, he was an orthopedic surgeon at New York Orthopedics. He earned his medical degree completed his residency at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in New York City.
