Advita Ortho, a global medical device company, has officially launched, according to a Nov. 3 news release from Advita.
Here are five things to know:
- The company will provide orthopedic implants and a suite of integrated orthopedic technologies.
- Advita owns and distributes product lines including Equinoxe Shoulder, Vantage Ankle, Alteon Hip, Truliant Knee, Newton balancing technology and GPS navigation.
- The assets were acquired from Exactech, which recently underwent restructuring.
- Aurelio Sahagun, who has more than 20 years of experience in the orthopedic and dental industries, will serve as Advita’s CEO.
- Advita’s owners include funds managed by affiliates of Strategic Value Partners, Stellex Capital Management and Greywolf Capital Management.
