Field Orthopaedics launched its OCTOPi integrated fixation construct system for hand and wrist procedures Sept. 17.
The system is available in 1.4mm, 1.7mm and 2.4mm sizes and comprises three interoperable constructs that can be used independently or together, according to a Sept. 17 news release.
OCTOBridge is a pre-connected double-fixation construct that allows surgeons to set each fixation point before performing final reduction and tensioning across the joint. OCTOExtend allows surgeons to add fixation points to an OCTOBridge construct, while OCTOAnchor provides standalone fixation for repairs requiring a single anchor point.
The system is intended for procedures including scapholunate ligament injuries, thumb ulnar collateral ligament injuries, distal biceps repairs and finger tendon repairs, according to the release.
