Michael Crovetti, DO, an orthopedic surgeon, has designed a digital platform to improve personalization and coordination in knee replacement recovery.
URKnee, developed by Henderson, Nev.-based Crovetti Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine, URKnee aims to close communication gaps in the joint replacement process by aligning surgical planning, rehabilitation and patient expectations from preoperative consultation through recovery, according to a March 11 press release.
The platform generates a secure digital profile for patients containing their surgical details, imaging, recovery goals and pain tolerance. This profile can be shared with physicians involved in the patient’s care to help ensure consistent, individualized treatment decisions.
The platform aims to address the range of lifestyle and recovery goals across patients by devising a more tailored rehabilitation pathway.
Crovetti Orthopaedics is exploring ways to expand the URKnee methodology to other joint conditions.
At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
