Nemours Children’s establishes International Limb Correction Center

Orlando-based Nemours Children’s Hospital, Florida created the Nemours Children’s International Limb Correction Center and added Shawn Standard, MD, as chief of the center.

Jason Malone, DO, will serve as assistant director of the center, according to a Sept. 16 news release. The Nemours Children’s International Limb Correction Center will provide care for pediatric patients with congenital limb deformities, complex joint reconstruction and limb length discrepancies and abnormalities.

The facility is seeing patients nationwide and globally and will be relocated to a 75,000 square-foot center at the hospital in 2028. It is the first fully dedicated limb deformity correction and limb lengthening center at Nemours Children’s Health.
