Kearney, Neb.-based CHI Health Good Samaritan will begin offering walk-in urgent care for orthopedic injuries and concussions Oct. 1.
The Orthopedic Urgent Care requires no appointment and will operate Monday-Friday from 7:30-11 a.m. and Saturdays from 8-11 a.m., according to a Sept. 28 report from Central Nebraska Today.
The urgent care clinic will treat concussions, minor fractures, dislocations, soft-tissue sprains and both sports and work-related injuries.
“I’m especially excited to offer Saturday walk-in hours — it’s a game-changer for our student athletes following Friday night competition,” Justis Stolz, MD, sports medicine physician at the clinic, told Central Nebraska Today.
Services will include initial pain relief, splinting, casting and on-site X-rays, as well as integrated follow-up care with the clinic’s orthopedic specialists and rehabilitation.
