Mount Sinai to serve as official hospital for US Open

New York City-based Mount Sinai will be the official hospital and medical provider for the U.S. Open Tennis Championships, according to an Aug. 12 news release.

This is the 12th year Mount Sinai is providing care for the U.S. Open, and it is its 10th year for the Billie Jean King Cup and Davis Cup events. Orthopedic surgeon Alexis Colvin, MD, remains as chief medical officer for the U.S. Open and U.S. Billie Jean King Cup team physician. Melissa Leber, MD, remains director of player medical services for the U.S. Open.

The U.S. Open will run from Aug. 26 through Sept. 8.
