Here are five notes:

1. 32BJ Health Fund is the health fund for a property service workers union.

2. The program was developed in partnership with MSHS, The Mount Sinai Hospital, 32BJ and Empire BlueCross BlueShield.

3. The program offers 32BJ members and their dependents hip and knee replacement surgeries at no out-of-pocket cost.

4. The 32BJ members will be asked to pay a single fee, which encompasses costs associated with surgery, recovery and preventable complications.

5. Prior to surgery, patients will attend a “joint class” to learn about preparing for surgery, as well as recovery.
