Montecito Medical acquires Rhode Island orthopedic facility

Healthcare real estate company Montecito Medical has acquired an orthopedic medical office building and surgery center in Warwick, R.I.

The 67,186-square-foot center is leased to Ortho Rhode Island, a physician-owned orthopedic practice, and Spire Orthopedics, the largest orthopedic platform in the region, according to a July 22 news release from Montecito Medical.

Ortho Rhode Island has eight practices across the state. Spire Orthopedics supports more than 40 affiliated locations across Rhode Island, Connecticut, New York and Massachusetts. 

Since 2006, Montecito Medical has completed more than $6.5 billion in medical and veterinary real estate transactions, the release said.
