Montana hospital earns first total hip and knee replacement certification

Frances Mahon Deaconess Hospital in Glasgow, Mont. earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval for advanced total hip and knee replacement.

The hospital underwent an onsite review in June to evaluate compliance with certification standards, according to a July 26 news release. The achievement was five years in the making, according to Nickolas Dirkes, CEO of FMDH.

Certification is offered ollaboration with the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
