Miami Orthopaedic Society names Dr. Michele D’Apuzzo as president

The Miami Orthopaedic Society has appointed Michele D’Apuzzo, MD, as its next president.

Dr. D’Apuzzo is a professor of orthopedic surgery and director of the adult reconstruction and joint replacement fellowship program at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, according to a Nov. 8 news release. 

During his two-year term as president, Dr. D’Apuzzo will aim to expand local orthopedic surgeons’ access to resources at the University of Miami.

Dr. D’Apuzzo has been a member of the organization for the past five years, the release said.
