Miami Heat guard undergoes surgery at Doctors Hospital Surgery Center

Miami Heat guard Dru Smith has undergone a successful surgery

at Doctors Hospital Surgery Center in Miami. 

The one-hour procedure repaired Mr. Smith’s ruptured left Achilles tendon, according to a Dec. 27 press release. 

It was performed by Heat team physician Harlan Selesnick, MD, and assisted by Heat team physician Frantz Lerebours, MD. 

Mr. Smith suffered the injury in a game against the Brooklyn Nets on Dec. 23 and will miss the remainder of the season, according to the release.
