Metro Health Hospital opens new wound care center: 4 notes

Grand Rapids, Mich.-based Metro Health Hospital opened a new wound care center at Wyoming, Mich.-based Metro Health Park East.

Here are four notes:

 

1. The 6,620-square-foot center will feature 10 exam rooms and two hyperbaric oxygen chambers.

 

2. It will offer care for patients with chronic wounds, such as diabetic foot ulcers and pressure sores.

 

3. The new center is a member of the Healogics network, a provider of advanced wound care services.

 

4. This is Metro Health’s second wound care center. It’s first was opened in 1991, making it one of the oldest in West Michigan.
