Here are four points:
1. Dr. Newman, an orthopedic surgeon, will begin seeing patients on Feb. 5.
2. He will plan to see patients in Holyoke one day every month.
3. Dr. Newman’s addition to the Melissa Memorial Hospital medical staff was coordinated through the outreach specialty clinic program at Englewood, Colo.-based Centura Health.
4. Dr. Newman completed a fellowship in sports medicine at The Steadman Clinic and Steadman Philippon Research Institute in Vail, Colo.
