Orthopedic device company Medacta has launched its Mfinity Femoral System in the U.S. for use in total hip replacement procedures.

The full commercial release follows more than one year of limited market use at select centers. The system offers multiple femoral stem options designed to accommodate different patient anatomies and minimally invasive surgical approaches, according to a Nov. 2 news release.

Mfinity includes collared, collarless and longer cementless stem options. Its instrumentation allows surgeons to use cementless and cemented stems with a single instrument tray, reducing the need for additional equipment during procedures. A cemented stem version is expected in 2027, pending regulatory clearance.

The system is also compatible with Medacta’s MyHip digital suite and NextAR Hip, which integrates 3D preoperative planning with intraoperative guidance and verification tools.

Medacta performed its first Mfinity surgical cases in Japan in September 2026 and is conducting clinical studies to support future registrations in Australia and Europe.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
