Orthopedic device company Maxx Orthopedics has expanded its Freedom PCK Revision Knee System with the launch of the PCK Metaphyseal Cones, which are now available in the U.S.
The cones are designed to integrate with the Freedom PCK Revision Knee System and the Freedom Titan PCK Revision Knee System, providing surgeons with an option for addressing bone defects in revision knee procedures, according to an Aug. 4 news release.
The cones feature a 3D-printed lattice structure designed to replicate the porosity of cancellous bone and promote long-term metaphyseal fixation. The design also includes stepped external geometry to resist subsidence and rotational loosening, along with keel relief slots that allow independent positioning of the Freedom PCK Tibial Baseplate.
The product line is available in seven sizes to accommodate a range of bone defect sizes and provide intraoperative rotational flexibility, according to the release.
