Dr. Mazzocca will also serve as the director of the bioskills, biomechanics and cell biology laboratories within the orthopedic surgery department at Massachusetts General Hospital, also in Boston.
Dr. Mazzocca was previously director of the UConn Musculoskeletal Institute and a professor in the orthopedic surgery department at UConn Health, both in Farmington, Conn., according to a June 16 news release.
Dr. Mazzocca is a member of the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons Society and the European Society for Surgery of the Shoulder and Elbow. He also co-founded the New England Shoulder and Elbow Society, which is dedicated to education and research related to problems of the shoulder and elbow.
