Three things to know:
1. Orlin & Cohen is providing the new service seven days a week at its Merrick, N.Y., location; Monday to Friday, 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
2. The Merrick location is the first of Orlin & Cohen’s nine locations to feature this service, but it will be adapting after-hours walk-in care at other locations throughout 2019.
3. The facility features MRI and digital X-ray services and specializes in all forms of orthopedics including spine, knee, shoulder, elbow, foot and ankle, as well as sports medicine and pain management.
“Typically, a general practitioner or general urgent care doctor will refer to an orthopedist anyway, so this saves the patient time and money,” said Michael Passet, CEO of Orlin & Cohen.
