Glasgow, Ky.-based T.J. Regional Health has introduced the ROSA knee robotic system for total knee replacement procedures, according to a Sept. 9 WBKO report. The technology uses computer-guided data to enhance precision and flexibility during surgery, allowing for more accurate implant placement.
Orthopedic surgeon Vivek Neginhal, MD, with T.J. Health Orthopedics, uses the system to tailor procedures to each patient. The robot provides real-time information during surgery, assisting with complex decision-making and improving overall outcomes.
The program is in use at T.J. Samson Community Hospital, where early patients have reported quicker recovery and improved mobility compared with standard knee replacement surgery.
