Johnson & Johnson’s orthopedic sales grow 3.8% in Q3: 7 notes

Johnson & Johnson saw growth in its third-quarter orthopedic and total sales, according to financial results posted Oct. 14.

Seven things to know:

1. Orthopedic sales were $2.3 billion, an increase of 3.8% compared to the same period in 2024.

2. Hip sales grew 6.4% year over year with $405 million, and knee sales grew 7% year over year with $377 million.

3. Trauma sales increased 4.2% year over year with $793 million.

4. Spine, sports and other sales were $698 million, a less than one percent increase year over year.

5. Johnson & Johnson’s orthopedic gains come amid news that it is splitting off DePuy Synthes into its own company.

6. Full-quarter revenue was $24 billion, an increase of 6.8% year over year.

7. The company increased its full-year guidance to $93.7 billion.
