Johnson & Johnson MedTech, has launched Inhance Intact, a system for total shoulder arthroplasty procedures.
The system uses a tissue-sparing approach and provides surgeons with improved joint visualization, according to an Oct. 13 news release from J&J.
The approach significantly reduces recovery time, as patients can have shoulder movement as early as day one post-op. The traditional TSA deltopectoral approach often requires up to six weeks of post-op immobilization.
Inhance Intact includes a stemless implant and 43 instruments.
More than 100,000 Americans undergo total shoulder arthroplasty each year, the release said.
At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
