Jefferson Health 3B Orthopaedics team completes Panama medical mission: 3 notes

A group of orthopedic surgeons from Philadelphia-based Jefferson Health 3B Orthopaedics provided orthopedic care for patients in Panama, according to The Inquirer Daily News.

Three things to know:

1. Robert E. Booth, Jr., MD, medical director of total knee replacement and revision at 3B Orthopaedics, led the medical mission.

2. The team of surgeons traveled to Panama in fall 2018 to provide total knee replacements for patients in need of care.

3. Dr. Booth specializes in total knee arthroplasty. He is a past president of The Knee Society and has won its research prize four times.
