J. Robert Gladden Orthopaedic Society names its official journal

Clinical Orthopaedics and Related Research is now the official journal of the J. Robert Gladden Orthopaedic Society, according to an Aug. 20 news release.

Four things to know:

1. The partnership seeks to highlight the issue of racial diversity in orthopedic surgery.

2. JRGOS is a 450-plus member organization that aims to address the needs of under-represented minority orthopedic surgeons and increase diversity in the field.

3. JRGOS members will play a leading role in the reviewing process for clinical research and opinion pieces published in Clinical Orthopaedics and Related Research.

4. A liaison editor will be selected to represent JRGOS on Clinical Orthopaedics and Related Research’s editorial board. The journal will feature a quarterly column focusing on racial equity in orthopedic surgery and medicine.
