The first surgeon to use OSSIOfiber suture anchors and two more orthopedic surgeon developments reported by Becker's since July 27:
1. Toufic Jildeh, MD, has joined the team of surgeons at East Lansing, Mich.-based MSU Health Care, where he will continue his research in eliminating opioid use during recoveries. Dr. Jildeh will also serve as an assistant professor in the department of orthopedic surgery and as the team physician for Michigan State athletics.
2. Charisse Sparks, MD, an orthopedic trauma surgeon and chief medical officer of AppliedVR, has joined Inspire Medical Systems' board of directors.
3. Gregory Berlet, MD, of Columbus, Ohio-based Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Center, debuted Ossio's OSSIOfiber suture anchors in clinical practice Aug. 8.
