Intellijoint Surgical launched the Intellijoint View preoperative planning system for total hip replacements, the company announced Oct. 21.
The software doesn't require CT imaging and uses the company's Target Zone Visualizer to offer a functional acetabular cup target specific to each patient. It integrates with the company's Hip navigation system.
"The creation of Intellijoint View is in direct response to surgeon demand for a simple, web-based open platform preoperative planning tool that can integrate seamlessly with Intellijoint Hip for delivery in the operating room," co-founder and CEO Armen Bakirtzian said in a news release.
Intellijoint Surgical is based in Canada and develops surgical planning and navigation products for joint replacements.
