Wichita-based Kansas Health Science Center named an orthopedic surgeon assistant professor of surgery for its upcoming college of osteopathic medicine.
James Joseph, Jr., MD, will teach at the Kansas College of Osteopathic Medicine, which is under construction, according to a July 28 news release. He is president of Kansas Joint and Spine Specialists and was chief of orthopedic surgery at Kansas Medical Center, both in Wichita.
The Kansas College of Osteopathic Medicine is expected to open for the 2022 academic year, and it is currently working through the accreditation process.
The facility will include learning spaces, an osteopathic training center, patient teaching rooms, large lecture halls and a virtual anatomy lab.
