Parkview Medical Center rebranded May 11 as Parkview Health System to reflect its continued expansion in Pueblo, Colo., The Pueblo Chieftain reports.

"We're not just a medical center anymore, we're not just this one campus," Parkview CEO Leslie Barnes told the publication. Parkview has several clinics and medical offices in the region, and will soon open an orthopedic hospital in Pueblo West, Colo.

The $58 million project is expected to open in April 2022. It will have 30 beds, providing orthopedic surgery services as well as physical and occupational therapy.

Parkview will likely recruit more orthopedic surgeons to staff the new facility. Currently, its orthopedic department has nine surgeons, according to its website.

A cancer center providing radiation and oncology treatment is also planned for Parkview's main campus.
