Orthopedic surgeon named interim associate chief, spine director at California children's hospital

Lindsay Andras, MD, has been named interim associate division chief and director of the spine program at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles' orthopedic department, according to an April 13 email to Becker's Spine Review.

Dr. Andras also works as the hospital's surgical director for the muscular dystrophy association clinic and is assistant fellowship director for orthopedics. She's an associate clinical professor of orthopedics at Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California in Los Angeles.

She received her undergraduate and medical degrees from Atlanta-based Emory University School of Medicine. She also completed an orthopedic surgery residency there. After that, she completed a fellowship in pediatric orthopedics and spinal deformity at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.

Dr. Andras has published more than 80 peer-reviewed articles and several book chapters. She's an active member of organizations including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America and the Scoliosis Research Society.
