From the medical director of a new robotic program to the incoming president of a large orthopedic group's board of directors, here are the latest orthopedic surgeons making the news:

Golden Valley, Minn.-based Twin Cities Orthopedics named Owen O'Neill, MD, president of its board of directors.

James Cook, MD, performed two hip surgeries on a tiger at an Illinois zoo.

Montefiore Health System kicked off its robotic joint replacement program with Carlos Alvarado, MD, as director.

Mark Goethe, MD, completed MidMichigan Medical Center-Midland's first robotic-assisted knee replacement with Smith+Nephew's Cori system.
