OPUM Technologies, iProcedures partner to bolster orthopedic care in ASCs

Orthopedic

Auckland, New Zealand-based medical device company OPUM Technologies has partnered with Tampa, Fla.-based surgical healthcare provider iProcedures, according to an Oct. 5 announcement.

The partnership is focused on seamless integration of OPUM's Digital Knee with Electronic Health Record Systems in ambulatory surgery centers, the report said. The Digital Knee is a remote patient management platform, providing insights on recovery and rehabilitation.

The partnership will also make remote patient monitoring simple and accessible, so some patients could leave ASCs earlier, the report said.

"The telehealth industry has accelerated through COVID and has been asking for ways to grow their remote patient offerings," OPUM CEO Andrew McDaid said in a statement. "This partnership makes it even easier for orthopedic practices to include remote patient care."
