18 orthopedic surgeon moves in September

From an incoming orthopedics chair in New Jersey to the medical director of a new robotic surgery program in Chicago, here are 18 orthopedic surgeons who were on the move in September.

1. Stephen Quinnan, MD, opened his practice at Paley Orthopedic & Spine Institute in West Palm Beach, Fla.

2. Monongahela Valley Hospital in Wickerham Manor-Fisher, Pa., appointed Ari Pressman, MD, vice president.

3. The Chicago Center for Orthopedics & Robotic-Assisted Surgery opened, with Henry Finn, MD, serving as medical director.

4. Livingston, N.J.-based Saint Barnabas Medical Center appointed Frank Liporace, MD, chair of its orthopedics department.

5. Bruce Cohen, MD, was named president of the American Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society and will serve on the board of the Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Foundation.

6. Niagara Falls (N.Y.) Memorial Medical Center appointed William Wind, MD, medical director of sports medicine services.

7. Stella Lee, MD, a graduate of the Harvard Combined Orthopedic Residency Program, joined the surgical staff at Anna Jaques Hospital in Newburyport, Mass.

8. Munster, Ind.-based Community Healthcare System added sports medicine and shoulder specialist Michael Knesek, MD.

9. Tracy Ng, DO, joined Venice-based Gulf Coast Medical Group in Venice, Fla.

10. Thomas Florack, MD, was joined by his son Michael Florack, MD, at Green Bay, Wis.-based Prevea Health.

11. Teresa Cappello, MD, joined the pediatric orthopedic surgery practice at Shriners Hospitals for Children-Chicago.

12. Chattanooga, Tenn.-based Erlanger Orthopaedic Institute hired orthopedic oncologist Ryan Voskuil, MD.

13. Roseville, Calif.-based Adventist Health added Paul Charpentier, MD.

14. Clark Walker, MD, joined Georgia Bone & Joint, with locations in Newnan and Peachtree City.

15. Annette Billings, MD, Lacey Zack, MD, Robert Klenck, MD, and Sara Shirazi, DPM, opened Pasadena (Calif.) Orthopedics.

16. Darren Friedman, MD, joined New York City-based Gramercy Surgery Center as director of orthopedics.

17. Michael Zahn, MD, joined River Hospital in Alexandria Bay, N.Y.

18. Itai Gans, M.D. joined Philadelphia-based Premier Orthopaedics.
