Clinical Orthopaedics and Related Research is now the official journal of the J. Robert Gladden Orthopaedic Society, according to an Aug. 20 news release.

Four things to know:

1. The partnership seeks to highlight the issue of racial diversity in orthopedic surgery.

2. JRGOS is a 450-plus member organization that aims to address the needs of under-represented minority orthopedic surgeons and increase diversity in the field.

3. JRGOS members will play a leading role in the reviewing process for clinical research and opinion pieces published in Clinical Orthopaedics and Related Research.

4. A liaison editor will be selected to represent JRGOS on Clinical Orthopaedics and Related Research's editorial board. The journal will feature a quarterly column focusing on racial equity in orthopedic surgery and medicine.
