Here are seven orthopedic surgeons making the news this week:

The Louisiana Orthopaedic Association appointed Michael Leddy III, MD, as president of the organization, with Claude Williams IV, MD, serving as first vice president.

Neal ElAttrache, MD, of Cedars-Sinai Kerlan-Jobe Institute in Los Angeles, defended orthopedic procedures being performed on professional sports players during the novel coronavirus outbreak.

Adam Anz, MD, director of Gulf Breeze, Fla.-based Andrews Institute Regenerative Medicine Center, spoke to Becker's about clinical trials for regenerative medicine in orthopedics.
