Here are six orthopedic surgeons making headlines this week:

Tulsa, Okla.-based Mark S. Wilson, MD, could lose his medical license after he was arrested on drunken driving charges and was allegedly in possession of cocaine. The Oklahoma State Board of Medical Licensure is holding a disciplinary hearing March 5.

John Abraham, MD, of Philadelphia-based Rothman Orthopaedic Institute, is now offering orthopedic oncology services at Capital Health Medical Center in Hopewell Township, N.J.

Biomaterial company Sintx Technologies' appointed Mark Froimson, MD, to its board of directors.

Neil Schwimley, DO, is bringing 17-plus years of military orthopedic surgery experience to Oskaloosa, Iowa-based Mahaska Health.

Irfan Ansari, MD, of Atlanta-based Resurgens Orthopaedics, was recognized as the top orthopedic surgeon in Forsyth County, Ga. More than 400,000 votes were cast in the 2020 poll.

Junction City, Kan.-based Geary Community Hospital added Tamara Huff, MD, to its orthopedic surgery team.
