In a recent study, orthopedic surgeon Kenneth Pettine, DO, tested his mesenchymal stem cell treatment for osteoarthritis on 33 former Navy SEALs.

The product, Extracellular Vesicle Isolate Product, was injected into the patients to assist with OA of the knee, shoulder, elbow, ankle and wrist.

The stem cell treatment demonstrated improvements ranging from 40 percent to 98 percent, with the average improvement over 70 percent.

Dr. Pettine coinvented the Prestige cervical artificial disc and the Maverick artificial disc. He is the principal investigator of 18 FDA studies evaluating non-fusion implants, biologics and stem cells.
