Twin Cities Orthopedics, an independent specialty practice serving Minnesota's Twin Cities and western Wisconsin, welcomed its first neurosurgeon, Frederick Harris, MD, to its medical staff.
Dr. Harris earned his medical degree at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio, and completed his residency at MetroHealth Medical Center, also in Cleveland.
He is a board-certified neurosurgeon with 18 years of experience in treating patients with brain and spine pathologies. His area of expertise includes brain tumors, brain trauma, Chiari malformations and spinal cord tumors.
His also performs adult spinal deformity/scoliosis treatment, revision surgery of the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine, and minimally invasive spinal surgery for herniated disk and lumbar fusions.
Dr. Harris previously worked as an engineer at NASA and the department of defense.
