California surgery center completes 1,200 robotic surgeries — 3 insights

Tustin, Calif.-based miVIP Orange County Multispecialty Surgery Center May 1 celebrated completing more than 1,200 robotic surgeries.

What you should know:

1. The surgery center chain uses the da Vinci Surgical System.

2. The chain is hosting an open house May 29 for physicians.

3. Physicians will be able to tour the ASC and try out the da Vinci system.

"Robotic surgery with the da Vinci gives our surgeons enhanced visibility of the anatomy, and increased flexibility, precision and control over their instruments," said Orly Benyaminy, vice president of miVIP West Coast.
