Board-certified orthopedic surgeon Chris FitzMorris, DO, will begin work at Mount Washington, N.H.-based Memorial Hospital's orthopedic practice in May, the Conway Daily Sun reports.

Dr. FitzMorris is looking forward to relocating and treating patients to help reduce pain with a variety of orthopedic procedures, including posterior hip replacements, knee replacements and hand surgery.

His vast experience includes serving as assistant chief medical officer at Lakes Region General Healthcare, N.H., where he was responsible for patient safety and quality.

Dr. FitzMorris is a member of American Osteopathic Association, New Hampshire Medical Society, and the New Hampshire Orthopedic Society, and is senior clinical examiner for the American Osteopathic Board of Orthopedic Surgery, and an assistant professor of clinical surgery at the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine.

A recent graduate of the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences University in Worcester, Mass., Austin Creer, also will be joining the orthopedic team as a physician assistant. His clinical experience includes an orthopedics rotation at the University of Massachusetts Memorial Medical Center, and this will be his first job since earning his master's degree of physician assistant studies in 2018.

Douglas Taylor, MD, who provides a range of orthopedic treatments, as well as physician assistant Abigail Lang, who also treats patients at the practice will be working closely with the new additions to the orthopedics team.
