Here are five orthopedic surgeons making headlines.

The American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons appointed Joseph Bosco III, MD, first vice president at AAOS 2019, March 13-15 in Las Vegas.

Michael Bolognesi, MD, became the 29th American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons president at the AAHKS Board of Directors' meeting in Las Vegas.

Los Angeles-based Orthopaedic Institute for Children's Jennifer J. Beck, MD, has been named one of three 2019 Traveling Fellows by the Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America and the Asia Pacific Pediatric Orthopaedic Society.

Thomas Sculco, MD, donated $35,000 to Westerly (R.I.) High School earmarked for more than 100 Dell laptop computers.

St. Louis-based Orthopedic Associates' Robert R. Bell, MD, now holds clinics every afternoon at the practice's new outreach clinic in Troy, Mo.
