Los Angeles-based Orthopaedic Institute for Children's Jennifer J. Beck, MD, has been named one of three 2019 Traveling Fellows by the Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America and the Asia Pacific Pediatric Orthopaedic Society.
Three things to know:
1. In addition to her role as associate director of the Center for Sports Medicine at OIC, Dr. Beck also serves as an assistant clinical orthopedic surgery professor at UC Los Angeles David Geffen School of Medicine and OIC.
2. As a fellow, Dr. Beck will travel to Asia March 24 to April 7, visiting hospitals in Singapore, Malaysia and South Korea and attending the Asia Pacific Spine Society/APPOS meeting in Incheon, South Korea, April 4 to 6.
3. POSNA sponsors annual traveling fellowships in conjunction with other international pediatric orthopedic alliance societies in which three POSNA members travel abroad, and three members of an alliance society tour North America to learn new pediatric orthopedic techniques.
