Joseph Guettler, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon at Michigan Orthopaedic Surgeons in Southfield.
Dr. Guettler is also affiliated with Bingham Falls, Mich.-based Performance Orthopedics and Beaumont Health in Southfield.
With expertise in sports medicine, Dr. Guettler serves as director of Royal Oak, Mich.-based Beaumont Hospital's orthopedic sports medicine fellowship.
Dr. Guettler's additional specialties include shoulder, elbow and knee arthroscopic surgery as well as rotator cuff and labral repair.
A past president of the Detroit Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and Michigan Orthopaedic Society, Dr. Guettler currently serves as the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine's liaison to the National Athletic Trainers' Association.
After earning his medical degree from Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago, Dr. Guettler completed his residency at Beaumont Hospital and underwent sports medicine fellowship training at Duke University in Durham, N.C.
