Here are nine orthopedic surgeons making headlines.

Murfreesboro, Tenn.-based Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital hired retired orthopedic surgeon Richard Rogers, MD, as interim CMO. 

Rifle, Colo.-based Grand River Health welcomed Hugh Brock, MD. 

Melbourne, Fla.-based First Choice Medical Group welcomed orthopedic surgeon Allison Wade, MD. 

Sharon (Pa.) Regional Medical Center welcomed Steven Hand, DO. 

Orthopedic surgeon Michael Hooker, MD, will lead Berlin, Md.-based Atlantic General Hospital and Health System's new Atlantic General Orthopedic Surgery center in Berlin.

Within a year, Pewaukee-based Orthopaedic Associates of Wisconsin orthopedic surgeons Rick Papandrea, MD, Scott Schneider, MD, Christopher Kilian, MD, and Samuel Steiner, MD, along with Waukesha, Wis.-based Pro-Health Orthopedic Care, performed 163 shoulder replacements with new robotic technology.
