Orthopedic surgeon to know: Dr. William Bragg of Mercy Medical Group

William Bragg, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon at Mercy Medical Group in Sacramento, Calif.

With expertise in shoulder surgery and sports medicine, Dr. Bragg serves as chief of orthopedics at Sacramento-based Mercy General Hospital.

Dr. Bragg's additional specialties include shoulder replacement, arthroscopy, arthritis, rotator cuff tears and fracture care.

He is a published author in medical journals such as the Journal of Elbow Surgery, Acta Orthopaedica and Journal of Orthopaedic Research.

After earning his medical degree from and completing his residency at Palo Alto, Calif.-based Stanford University School of Medicine, Dr. Bragg underwent shoulder and elbow surgery fellowship training at Harvard Medical School in Boston.
