Cleveland Clinic appointed Wael Barsoum, MD, president and CEO of the health system's Florida region.

Jeremy Thomas, DO, pleaded guilty to opioid prescription drug conspiracies in five federal cases.

Canfield, Ohio-based Youngstown Orthopaedic Associates' K. Seth Kuwik, MD, will host a free health talk Dec. 6 to discuss hip and knee pain treatments and Mako robotic-arm assisted surgery.

Holmdel, N.J.-based Bayshore Medical Center orthopedic surgeon Robert Borzio, MD, performed the hospital's first Intellijoint hip replacement surgery.

Belle Vernon, Pa.-based The Orthopedic Group founding partner and orthopedic surgeon Scott L. Baron, MD, will retire after providing care for 34 years.
