Orthopedic surgeon to know: Dr. Gregory Martin of Personalized Orthopedics of the Palm Beaches

Gregory M. Martin, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon at and founder of Personalized Orthopedics of the Palm Beaches in Boynton Beach, Fla.

Dr. Martin is also affiliated with Atlantis, Fla.-based JFK Medical Center, where he serves as medical director of the hospital's orthopedic institute.

With expertise in hip and knee conditions, Dr. Martin's additional specialties include complex revision and failed total hip and knee surgery, minimally invasive hip and knee replacement, arthroscopy and joint preservation surgery.

In August, Dr. Martin used the ConforMIS Hip System to perform the first 3D-designed, primary total hip replacement surgeries in the U.S. 

Dr. Martin has presented and taught on hip and knee replacement concepts at national meetings as well as authored numerous research articles for publications, such as the Journal of Arthroplasty and Journal of the American Medical Association.

A diplomate of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, Dr. Martin is also a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons.

After earning his medical degree from New York City-based SUNY Downstate Medical Center, Dr. Martin completed his residency at New York-Presbyterian Hospital in New York City and a total joint and biologic arthroplasty fellowship at Boston-based Brigham and Women's Hospital.
