Olsen Orthopedics based in Oklahoma City will pay $455,000 to settle false claims allegations, according to a News OK report.

Here are five things to know:

1. The federal government accused Olsen Orthopedics of billing Medicare and Tricare for medication injections that weren't approved by the FDA, although the government payers only reimburse for FDA-approved drugs and devices.

2. The government alleges the drugs were purchased outside of the country and administered from Dec. 1, 2011, to May 5, 2016.

3. Olsen Orthopedics agreed to pay the settlement to avoid litigation.

4. Olsen Orthopedics did not admit liability.
