Orthopedic surgeon to know: Dr. Todd J. Albert of Hospital for Special Surgery

Todd J. Albert, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon at New York City-based Hospital for Special Surgery. 

Dr. Albert serves as the Hospital for Special Surgery's surgeon-in-chief, medical director and the Korein-Wilson Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery. He is also an orthopedic surgery professor and chairman at New York City-based Weill Cornell Medical College. 

He is a past president of the Philadelphia-based Rothman Institute, where he served as the Richard H. Rothman Professor and Chairman of Orthopedic Surgery.

After graduating from the University of Virginia School of Medicine in Charlottesville, Dr. Albert completed an internship at Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia. He completed a residency at Philadelphia-based Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, followed by a fellowship at the Minneapolis-based Minnesota Spine Center.
