Here are seven orthopedic surgeons making headlines.

Adam Lazzarini, MD, was charged with involuntary manslaughter and obstructing justice after a CrossLink Orthopaedics/Stryker sales representative died of a gunshot wound in Dr. Lazzarini's home last October.

Retired orthopedic surgeon and Chairman Emeritus of Sacramento-based UC Davis Medical Center's orthopedic surgery department Michael W. Chapman, MD, became the first medical doctor to be honored with the UCD Medal.

John Williams Jr., MD, performed a Bob Marley tribute with his reggae band at the Savannah Center in The Villages, Fla., to benefit The Villages Regional Hospital Auxiliary Foundation May 5.

James Parkinson, MD, joined Berkshire Orthopaedic Associates in North Adams, Mass.

Brian Seng, DO, joined Arthritis & Total Joint Specialists at its Woodstock, Ga., location.

Todd Schmidt, MD, an orthopedic surgeon at OrthoAtlanta, served as the 2018 Medical Honoree for the Atlanta Walk to Cure Arthritis May 5.

The Orthopaedic Research and Education Foundation tapped Michael Parks, MD, to serve as president.
