Orthopedic surgeon to know: Dr. S. David Stulberg of Northshore Orthopaedic Institute

S. David Stulberg, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon at Chicago-based Northshore Orthopaedic Institute.

Dr. Stulberg is director and founder of the Joint Reconstruction and Implantation Service at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and a staff member at Rush North Shore Medical Center, both in Chicago. He is also a professor

of clinical orthopedic surgery at the Chicago-based Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine.

 

Dr. Stulberg is a co-founder of the International Society for Technology in Arthoplasty and a founding member of the International Society for Computer Assisted Orthopaedic Surgery. He takes special pride in helping

Operation Walk Chicago provide free total joint replacements in disadvantaged areas.

 

Dr. Stulberg has earned numerous honors, including the Maurice E. Muller Award for Excellence and Lifetime Achievement in Computer Assisted Surgery and the Knee Society Award for Best Paper from the American

Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons.

 

After graduating from the Ann Arbor-based University of Michigan School of Medicine, Dr. Stulberg completed a residency at the Harvard Combined Orthopaedic Residency Program in Boston. He continued his post-

graduate education with several fellowships in orthopedics and biomechanics.
